Vincent Taylor - Children's Author & Reading Consultant

“Reading Rappin’ & Having Fun” is an exciting staff development   workshop that supports differentiated instruction. It integrates hip-hop music, hand gestures and reading comprehension skills to reinforce learning.

Participants will find themselves singing and moving to the rhythmic beat while focusing on critical reading skills such as main idea, supporting details, inference, context clues, and vocabulary.

A multitude of nonlinguistic representations will be covered in this highly energized, research-based workshop. Participants will be captivated the entire session. Teachers who are eager to reach their at-risk / unmotivated readers will find the various musical and kinesthetic strategies invaluable.
